2005 – UKEC-GRADUAN had its first career fair in University of Warwick, Coventry. There were a total of 6 organizations – Ambank Group, Intel Technologies, KPMG, MDEC, PwC and Proton Berhad, who traveled for this recruitment fair. The event was officiated by Education Malaysia Director – Dr Syed Raisudin Bin Syed Abdullah. A total of 300 CVs were collected prior to the fair.

2006 – The UKEC-GRADUAN fair was held in University College London, Central London. The organizations, which participated in the Career Fair, were PwC, Ambank Group, British American Tobacco, Bank Negara Malaysia, Bank Negara, Maybank, Malaysia Airports, Media Prima, Motorola Technology, Nestle Malaysia, Proton, Robert Bosch, SHELL Malaysia and Schlumberger. The High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom, Dato’ Abd Aziz Mohammed officiated the event. A total of 500 CVs were collected prior to the fair.

2007 – There was a huge increase in the participation of organizations. A total of 38 organizations traveled to London to meet and network with Malaysian graduates in the United Kingdom. 1000 talents attended the UKEC-GRADUAN Career Fair. The Honorable Finance Minister II, Senator Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop launched the fair. Other VIPs that attended the event include – The High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom, Dato’ Abd Aziz Mohammed, Director of Education Malaysia, En Ahmad Nazri Sulaiman and Air Asia CEO, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes.

2008 – There were a total of 38 organizations that participated in the UKEC-GRADUAN Fair. Organizations conducted interview sessions and networking sessions prior to the fair. The High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom, Dato’ Abd Aziz Mohammed launched the fair. VIPs like Dato’ Seri Mohd Nazir Abdul Razak and Dato Seri Johan Raslan were invited to a forum during the opening ceremony. 800 talents were present at the fair.

2009 – Once again, we had the privilege of The High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom, Dato’ Abd Aziz Mohammed to launch the UKEC-GRADUAN fair. The economic situation took a turn and it affected the number of participating organizations in London. There were a total of 29 organizations and 5 universities who participated in the UKEC-GRADUAN fair. There was an overwhelming turn up of 1300 graduates to the event. This included experienced professionals and also undergraduates eager to learn more about the opportunities available in Malaysia.

2010 – Participating organizations were greeted by 1500 Malaysians in the United Kingdom. The UKEC-GRADUAN Career Fair is a platform for top organizations to network and interview Malaysian talents in the United Kingdom. Many organizations hosted luncheons and Business Challenges in order to build on their network with the graduates. There was a strong interest by attendees of the fair to return home and start their careers in Malaysia. A total of 1000 CVs were collected prior to the fair.

2011 – The UKEC-GRADUAN 2011 fair attracted a total of 2000 talents. With a total of 37 organizations and institutions, it is the largest career fair in the United Kingdom to date. The newly appointed High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom, Datuk Zakaria Sulong officiated the event. There were a number of CEOs who attended the event – Dato’ Seri Johan Raslan, Executive Chairman of PwC, Dato’ Sri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly, CEO of Celcom Axiata Berhad, Datuk Rohana Rozhan, CEO of ASTRO, En Johan Merican, CEO of TalentCorp Malaysia, Dato’ Shahril Mokhtar, Group Managing Director of Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad and Dato’ Seri Mohd Nazir Abdul Razak, CEO of CIMB Group. A total of 1300 CVs were collected prior to the fair.
